Mike Nash from Craft Supply USA will provide a Woodturning 101. This demo is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of woodturning. We’ll cover the basic set of woodturning tools, including their purpose, proper use, sharpening, and safe handling at the lathe. Mike will cover the four fundamental cuts in woodturning and how they apply to shaping and refining a project. The demo will also focus on developing confidence with the basic set of turning tools, and hopefully, we’ll get a bunch of dialogue and questions Mike can answer.
