About this event
Our objective will be creating a perfect ring the first time. Once established this attractive ring of any size and wood species can be secured to any turned bowl or vessel of your choice as a beautiful embellishment. Special attention will be given to properly calculate the number of pieces necessary to establish the desired ring size for your turning, how to make an accurate sled for cutting the rings and then gluing the segments into a circle. Also covered will be the mounting of the glued ring / turning to the lathe for final shaping and finishing. Tips on accuracy, safety and tool selection will be covered.
